ABL Expands Operations to Namibia to Support Energy and Marine Market

Energy and marine consultancy ABL has recently announced the expansion of its operations to Namibia, with a focus on supporting the local oil & gas market and the country’s energy transition. This move is aimed at providing comprehensive technical services in energy and marine consulting to the Namibian market.

The new entity in Namibia will offer a range of services including marine technical due diligence, rig inspections and rig moving, marine inspections and surveys, marine warranty surveys, and ports consulting services. This expansion reflects ABL’s commitment to bolstering Namibia’s energy objectives and enhancing local engagement.

“ABL has been actively involved in supporting energy and marine projects in Namibia for over a decade. Establishing an official entity in the country is a natural progression for us and underscores our dedication to assisting Namibia in achieving its energy goals,” stated Anne Myers, ABL’s Country Manager for South Africa and Namibia.

With a presence in various African countries including Egypt, Congo, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, ABL’s expansion into Namibia further strengthens its position on the continent. The company is also backed by consultancy operations in Algeria and Morocco.

Additionally, ABL Namibia will benefit from the support of its sister company, the renewable energy consultancy OWC. This strategic partnership will enable ABL to offer a comprehensive suite of services to its clients in Namibia.

The expansion into Namibia follows ABL’s recent foray into the New Zealand market to support maritime and offshore energy projects. The company’s growth trajectory has been further highlighted by securing a contract with Saipem, a leading Italian engineering and construction services firm, for a natural gas project off the coast of Libya.
