Navantia UK Secures Contract for Subsea Structures Manufacturing in Trinidad and Tobago
Navantia UK, a subsidiary of Spanish shipbuilder Navantia, has recently announced the acquisition of a contract from McDermott Trinidad for the manufacture of subsea structures for a project in Trinidad and Tobago.
The year-long contract will involve the production and delivery of critical subsea components from Navantia UK’s Arnish facility, which is located on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.
This agreement signifies a significant milestone for the Arnish facility, further solidifying its reputation in the subsea sector and facilitating continued workforce expansion at the site.
CEO of Navantia UK, Juan de la Cueva, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with McDermott Trinidad, stating, “By securing international work for our Arnish facility, we are not only supporting skilled jobs in the Outer Hebrides but also showcasing Scottish engineering excellence globally.
