Norway’s DDW Offshore Sells Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel

Norway’s DDW Offshore, a subsidiary of Akastor, has decided to sell one of its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels to an undisclosed client. The vessel in question is the 2010-built Skandi Peregrino, and the sale price is set at $25 million.

As per an Oslo Bors filing, the sale agreement is based on saleform 2012 terms, with amendments, and completion is subject to the charterer’s consent. The transaction is anticipated to finalize in the second quarter of 2025. Post-completion, approximately $10 million of the sale proceeds will go towards repaying a portion of DDW Offshore’s debt, leaving around $19 million in remaining debt.

Following the sale, Akastor plans to distribute a significant portion of the net proceeds, approximately $15 million, as cash dividends to its shareholders.

Prior to the decision to sell, DDW Offshore secured a one-year charter for the Skandi Peregrino in October 2024. The vessel commenced operations in Australia in January of the current year, with an option for a further 24-month extension. Financial terms of the charter agreement were not disclosed.
