A terrifying video of a massive cargo ship rolling violently in the open ocean has left the internet shaken.

The viral clip, shared by the social media handle ‘AMAZlNGNATURE’ on X (formerly Twitter), shows the vessel battling monstrous waves under a stormy gray sky.

The exact date and location of the incident remain unknown, but the video has already gained over 20 million views. Many online users admitted that watching the footage made them more fearful of the ocean.

One viewer commented that even in calm weather, being surrounded by nothing but water in all directions is terrifying.

Another questioned the salaries of seafarers, wondering how much they are paid for working in such hazardous environments.

The post that accompanied the video read: “No amount of money can convince me to work here.” Some users made similar statements, saying they wouldn’t take such a job, no matter how high the salary.

A user claimed that maritime workers reportedly earn around $40,000 annually, plus overtime and benefits. However, another user dismissed this amount as insufficient, adding that even a six-figure salary wouldn’t be worth the risk.

The intense rolling motion of the ship seen in the clip is a known maritime phenomenon called parametric rolling, which can lead to cargo loss, structural damage, or even capsizing if not managed properly.
