Statu Shipping aims to enhance compliance with OrbitMI solutions

Maritime SaaS software OrbitMI has announced the implementation of its compliance solutions for Istanbul-based Statu Shipping’s fleet of 20 bulk carriers.

This allows Statu Shipping to actively monitor and manage compliance in real-time, improving efficiency, lowering costs, and ensuring adherence to regulations during voyages.

Statu Shipping can utilise Orbit’s compliance features to simulate voyages, evaluate their effects on the carbon intensity indicator (CII), estimate the necessary EU Allowances (EUAs) for the emissions trading system (ETS), and predict FuelEU costs.

Operators can set up real-time alerts for speed changes, estimated time of arrival (ETA), and fuel consumption, allowing for timely adjustments to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

Statu Shipping managing director Ercument Ahmet Solakarı said: “With regulatory requirements becoming more complex, we needed a compliance solution that goes beyond simple reporting.

“Orbit allows us to actively manage compliance and emissions throughout a voyage, ensuring we meet regulatory standards while optimising fleet efficiency.”

Orbit integrates with Bureau Veritas’ VeriSTAR Green platform to improve compliance automation.

This integration simplifies the final auditing of emissions reports before submission to regulators, minimising administrative tasks and maintaining accuracy.

According to the company, automating this process saves time and reduces the risk of non-compliance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of Statu Shipping’s reporting.
