Solstad Offshore Secures Two-Year Contract for Normand Subsea Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has announced a new contract with Subsea7 for its subsea construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Subsea. The contract is set to last for two years, with three yearly options, starting on January 1, 2026.

The Normand Subsea vessel has been under contract with Subsea7 since 2009. This 113-meter-long vessel, built in 2009, features a VS 471 design and is known for its versatility in Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair (IMR) operations. With a capacity to accommodate up to 90 people, the Normand Subsea CSV is a crucial asset for offshore operations.

In a move to extend their partnership, Subsea7 recently exercised the 2025 optional charter for the Normand Subsea vessel, demonstrating their continued confidence in Solstad Offshore’s services. The vessel is owned by Solstad Maritime Holding, with Solstad Offshore holding a 27.3% stake in the company.

This contract renewal highlights Solstad Offshore’s commitment to providing high-quality vessels and services to meet the evolving needs of the offshore industry. With a strong track record of performance and reliability, the Normand Subsea vessel remains a key player in supporting subsea construction projects.

As the offshore sector continues to adapt to changing market conditions and technological advancements, partnerships between vessel owners like Solstad Offshore and leading companies such as Subsea7 are essential for driving innovation and efficiency in the industry.

With the new contract secured for the Normand Subsea vessel, Solstad Offshore looks forward to continuing its successful collaboration with Subsea7 and delivering outstanding results in subsea construction support operations.
