Xenos Marine Acquires the TX-10,000 Heavy Lift Vessel

Xenos Marine recently made a significant acquisition by obtaining the VB-10,000 Heavy Lift Vessel, which is currently undergoing maintenance in dry dock in Galveston, Texas. The vessel will be rechristened as the TX-10,000 at a ceremony scheduled for March 23, 2025, in Galveston.

The TX-10,000 is the largest US Flagged and Jones Act compliant Heavy Lift Vessel, boasting a remarkable 7,500-ton lifting capacity. It is a twin-gantry catamaran heavy lift vessel that is poised to resume operations in the Gulf of America after completing its maintenance at the Gulf Copper Shipyard in Galveston.

The TX-10,000 specializes in a range of operations, including offshore oil & gas infrastructure installation and decommissioning, maritime salvage operations, and onshore heavy lifting operations.

Originally launched in 2010, the TX-10,000 was meticulously designed, built, owned, and operated in the United States. The vessel’s original crew members, who successfully completed nearly 300 offshore projects, including the challenging Golden Ray shipwreck salvage operation, have now come together under the Xenos Marine banner as part of this new chapter.
