Enhancing Reservoir Production: Aquaterra Energy Secures Multi-Million Dollar Contract

Offshore engineering solutions firm Aquaterra Energy has recently announced a significant contract with Intrepid Energy Limited (IEL) to provide a customized subsea well intervention equipment package for a project in Nigeria. This multi-million-dollar agreement will see Aquaterra Energy delivering a turnkey well access solution to support intervention operations on multiple mature oil wells in the region, ultimately boosting reservoir production.

The comprehensive contract encompasses the supply of a complete seabed-to-surface intervention system, including key components such as Aquaterra Energy’s TRT tieback tooling for production bore and annular access, a lightweight well pressure control system, and an ISO 13628-7 qualified open water intervention riser with an integrated tensioning system. This integrated package will streamline operations and enhance efficiency for IEL.

Andrew McDowell, Delivery Director at Aquaterra Energy, expressed confidence in the tailored intervention solutions being provided, stating, “Our expertise in offshore engineering allows us to develop solutions that address the operational challenges of subsea well access. By delivering a complete, integrated package, we are simplifying complex operations and enabling operators to maximize production potential while reducing costs.”

Furthermore, Aquaterra Energy will not only supply equipment but also provide ongoing offshore engineering support throughout the duration of the project. This commitment to technical expertise and service support will ensure the smooth operation of intervention activities over multiple years.

Engr Seun Alonge, CEO at Intrepid Energy Limited, emphasized the value of collaboration with Aquaterra Energy, stating, “By combining Aquaterra’s technical expertise with our deep understanding of the local operating environment, we’re confident this collaboration will enhance production outcomes and create lasting value for our operations in the region.”
