Norwegian OSV Owner Island Offshore Secures Contract for Platform Supply Vessel

Norwegian OSV owner Island Offshore has secured a contract for one of its platform supply vessels in the Norwegian sector. ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has contracted the Island Contender for 45 days with further options available. Dayrates for the contract have not been disclosed.

The Island Contender, a 2012-built PSV currently on a spot fixture with Equinor UK, will be transitioning from its spot trades in May to commence its term contract with ConocoPhillips Skandinavia.

In addition to this recent contract, Island Offshore has also received a long-term commitment for another PSV. Equinor UK has decided to extend the hire of the 2009-built hybrid battery-powered vessel, Island Chieftain, until at least May 2027.
