EnerMech Secures Contract for Pre-Commissioning Services at Salamanca Platform

Energy industry services firm EnerMech has recently announced that they have secured a contract from oil company LLOG for pre-commissioning services at the Salamanca platform in the Gulf of America. This contract marks another milestone in EnerMech’s portfolio of projects in the region.

Scope of Work

The contract includes hydrotesting and nitrogen dewatering of three 8-inch infield flowlines, one 16-inch oil export pipeline, and one 10-inch gas export pipeline. This is in addition to a previous contract for topside pre-commissioning services that EnerMech secured in 2024.

Project Details

The Salamanca Floating Production Unit (FPU) will be operating at a depth of approximately 6,400 feet of water, with production coming from the Leon and Castille fields. With an initial production capacity of 60,000 barrels of oil per day and 40 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, this project is poised to make a significant contribution to the United States’ energy sector.

The FPU itself is a refurbished structure, formerly the decommissioned Independence Hub production facility. This project is crucial for the future of the country’s energy sector, and EnerMech is honored to be chosen to work on such vital infrastructure.

CEO Statement

EnerMech CEO, Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison Jr., expressed his pride in being awarded a second contract on the Salamanca project. He credited the capabilities and expertise of the EnerMech team in the region, particularly acknowledging the leadership and guidance of Brennon Fitzgerald.

Overall, the contract with LLOG for pre-commissioning services at the Salamanca platform is a testament to EnerMech’s commitment to delivering high-quality services in the energy industry.
