Archer Signs Five-Year Contract with Repsol for UK Offshore Assets

Norwegian offshore service provider Archer has recently inked a significant five-year contract with Spanish oil and gas giant Repsol for the management of their UK offshore assets. This agreement, which also includes a two-year optional extension, encompasses a range of services vital to Repsol’s operations in the region.

Under the terms of the contract, Archer will deliver platform drilling services, facilities engineering, coil tubing, wireline services, and downhole well service technologies to support Repsol’s late-life operations and plug and abandonment activities on various platforms. These platforms include Piper, Claymore, Tartan, Saltire, Auk, Arbroath, Montrose, Beatrice, and Clyde, highlighting the breadth of Archer’s involvement in Repsol’s offshore endeavors.

One of the key components of this agreement is the plug and abandonment scope, which involves approximately 130 wells. This aspect underscores Archer’s strategic focus on providing top-notch plug and abandonment services to its clients, further solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.

Commenting on this milestone partnership, Dag Skindlo, CEO of Archer, expressed his satisfaction with the deal, stating, “We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Repsol through this major long-term agreement within our strategic focus on P&A services.”
