Sentinel Subsea Completes Well Integrity Monitoring Project for North Sea Operator
Sentinel Subsea has recently wrapped up a successful project with a North Sea oil and gas operator, involving the deployment of two WellSentinel Coral systems for well integrity monitoring operations.
The project supported a significant drilling operation, with the WellSentinel Coral systems playing a crucial role in continuously monitoring the integrity of the wells during the suspension period. This ensured safe and efficient operations throughout this critical phase.
The deployment of the WellSentinel Coral systems took place in February 2025, marking a milestone as the first time WellSentinel technology was implemented at the commencement of a well’s lifecycle. This showcases the advantages of passive monitoring in various offshore operations.
The installation of the WellSentinel Coral systems was carried out from the jack-up onto wellheads through the texas deck using crane wire. Preconfigured for detection before installation, these systems streamlined the deployment process, eliminating the need for in-well intervention.
Neil Gordon, CEO of Sentinel Subsea, expressed his satisfaction with the project’s successful completion, emphasizing the company’s dedication to safety, innovation, and growth. He stated, “This is a key moment for us, as it is the first time our WellSentinel technology has been deployed at the beginning of a well’s lifecycle. Partnering with a major operator in the North Sea strengthens our presence in the region and contributes to our continued global expansion.”
Overall, the completion of this project underscores Sentinel Subsea’s expertise in providing advanced solutions for well integrity monitoring in the offshore energy sector. With a focus on safety and efficiency, the company continues to drive innovation and deliver reliable services to its clients.
