DEME Completes Acquisition of Havfram in 900 Million Euro Deal

Belgian marine engineering giant DEME has finalized its acquisition of Norwegian offshore wind contractor Havfram in a transaction valued at approximately 900 million euros. The acquisition, which was initially disclosed on April 9, 2025, marks DEME Offshore Holding NV’s complete ownership of Havfram Wind Holdco AS from previous shareholders Sandbrook Capital and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments).

Havfram, known for its expertise in transport and installation services for the offshore wind industry, is currently in the process of constructing two cutting-edge wind turbine installation vessels. These vessels are expected to be delivered in Q4 2025 and early 2026, with contracts already secured for the latter half of 2026.

With an order book of around 600 million euros, Havfram brings contracts for significant offshore wind farm construction projects spanning from 2026 to 2030.

Following the acquisition, Havfram’s team will be integrated into DEME’s Offshore Energy segment, while continuing operations from their headquarters in Oslo. DEME has assured Havfram’s existing clients that there will be no disruptions to ongoing project planning.

DEME, a listed company on Euronext Brussels, reported a turnover of 4.1 billion euros and an EBITDA of 764 million euros in 2024. With over 5,800 professionals, the company operates across various sectors, including offshore energy, environmental remediation, dredging, and marine infrastructure.
