Wallenius Wilhelmsen Secures Three-Year Shipping Contract with Leading Equipment Manufacturer

Wallenius Wilhelmsen, a global leader in shipping and logistics, has recently inked a significant three-year contract with one of the world’s top construction and mining equipment manufacturers. The deal, valued at approximately $140 million based on projected volumes over the contract period, solidifies Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s position as a key long-term partner for the client.

The renewed agreement, which took effect in May 2025, features revised rates that align with current market conditions. This move reflects the mutual commitment of both parties to foster a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership.

As part of the new contract, the customer has pledged direct support for Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s decarbonization initiatives. This includes the implementation of a new Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) scheme that accommodates the expected evolution of the company’s fuel mix for the future. By embracing environmentally-friendly practices, both companies are taking proactive steps towards reducing their carbon footprint and promoting sustainability in the shipping industry.

Pia Synnerman, Chief Customer Officer at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, expressed her enthusiasm about the deal, stating, “Continuing our positive start to 2025, the significant multi-year contract further strengthens our long-standing partnerships in the high and heavy segment, extending predictability for both the customer and Wallenius Wilhelmsen.”

This latest development underscores Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s commitment to providing reliable and innovative shipping solutions to its clients. By leveraging its expertise and industry knowledge, the company continues to drive efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction in the global logistics landscape.
