Perenco and Technomak Sign EPCCI Agreement for Cap Lopez FLNG Project
An affiliate of Perenco, Dixstone, and UAE-based engineering and construction firm Technomak have entered into a strategic engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, integration (EPCCI) agreement for the Cap Lopez FLNG project in Gabon.
Following Perenco’s final investment decision on the Cap Lopez FLNG project, Dixstone was awarded the contract for the construction, procurement, and integration of the project.
The project involves the development of a nearshore LNG facility that will have the capacity to produce 0.7 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG and 25,000 tonnes of LPG annually, with a storage capacity of 137,000 cubic meters in a former gas tanker converted to an FSO.
Once operational, the project is expected to complement the existing Cap Lopez oil export terminal and is scheduled to come online in 2026.
As per the agreement between Dixstone and Technomak, the FLNG barge will be fully constructed and assembled at Technomak’s facility in the United Arab Emirates before being transported to Gabon.
Furthermore, the contract for the LNG liquefaction technology has already been awarded to Aragon, an affiliate of Seatrium, earlier this year.
