Old Doha Port in Qatar has introduced Minakom, a digital platform that enables maritime tourists and visitors arriving by yacht or boat to complete entry procedures into Qatar without the need to disembark.
This initiative aims to enhance the arrival experience for maritime visitors and position Old Doha Port as a better entry point for international tourists.
The platform is accessible through the official Old Doha Port website, allowing travellers to fill out a digital inquiry form and connect with a certified logistics agent who will facilitate all necessary procedures with government officials while they remain on their vessels.
Minakom is specifically tailored for private yachts and non-cruise vessels, coinciding with a period of growth for Old Doha Port.
Since its initial rollout, the platform has successfully processed the entry and exit of 250 private vessels.
Old Doha Port CEO Mohammed Abdulla Al Mulla said: “Minakom embodies our vision of a reimagined harbour where heritage and innovation move in harmony.
“As we align with Qatar National Vision 2030, this launch strengthens our position in digital infrastructure, enhances tourism excellence, and redefines the arrival experience for maritime visitors to our shores.”
Last year, the Old Doha Port announced a strategic partnership with several marinas in Qatar, aimed at fostering collaboration to deliver comprehensive solutions and exclusive services to boat and yacht owners.
