SMD Celebrates 100th Plough Sale to Global Marine

Underwater technology and services company SMD is proud to announce the sale of its 100th plough to Global Marine, a leading provider of subsea cable installation and maintenance services. The Plough M, the latest addition to SMD’s product line, will support Global Marine’s operations around the world.

This milestone sale marks a long-standing partnership between SMD and Global Marine, with 27 projects completed over the past three decades. The collaboration has resulted in the development of innovative technology that continues to drive advancements in offshore engineering.

Following successful sea trials, Plough M has been deployed on its first commercial mission. Designed to excel in challenging conditions, the plough will enhance Global Marine’s capabilities and efficiency in subsea operations.

Global Marine plans to integrate Plough M into its extensive network of vessels, subsea assets, and depots, further strengthening its position as a leader in the industry.
