Marlink Supports Simon Møkster Shipping with Flexible Bandwidth Allocation

Marlink is assisting Simon Møkster Shipping in optimizing the deployment of Starlink LEO bandwidth across its fleet. This strategic approach allows the ship owner to prioritize internet connectivity where it is most essential, enhancing both business operations and crew welfare services.

Recently, Simon Møkster Shipping completed a comprehensive upgrade of its hybrid network solution to Sealink NextGen, marking a significant milestone in the company’s digital transformation journey.

With a fleet of 15 vessels primarily operating in the North and Barents Seas, Simon Møkster Shipping plays a vital role in the maritime industry. The company, headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, employs around 500 individuals across onshore and offshore positions.

Terje Gjerde, a representative from Simon Møkster Shipping, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Marlink, stating, “Simon Møkster Shipping is advancing its digital initiatives through the innovative Starlink pooled bandwidth model. With Marlink as our reliable partner, we are not only maintaining connectivity but also gaining a competitive edge in the market.”
