Record Participation at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2025

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) 2025 has reported record participation and exhibitor engagement during its 36th edition. A total of 824 boats were on display at the marina on Australia’s Gold Coast — 422 on water and 402 on land — representing a nearly 10 per cent increase on the previous year. The warm, sunny weather throughout the weekend helped encourage footfall and created a buoyant atmosphere.

Key Exhibits and Highlights

Key exhibits at SCIBS 2025 included the Candela C-8, an electric carbon hydrofoiling vessel from Carbon Yachts; Pazienza, an Italian-built model from Cantiere delle Marche; a AU$100m (US$64m) innovation showcase by Horizon Yachts Australia; and Riviera’s AU$50m (US$32m) display, which included two world premieres. Many exhibitors reported strong commercial results and high interest.

Exhibitor Feedback

Phil Candler, operations manager at Maritimo, noted high traffic and sales, including the launch of the reimagined M50 Flybridge and S50 Sedan Motor Yachts. Corey Rattray-Wood, head of events at Mulpha Events, highlighted the impressive display of 824 boats and the tens of thousands of visitors. Mark Richards, founder and CEO of Palm Beach Motor Yachts and CEO of Grand Banks, mentioned the busy marina and positive engagement with attendees.

Future Plans

Organisers have not confirmed the official headcount yet, but it is expected during this week. Preparations are already underway for the 37th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 21–24 May 2026.

Exciting Displays and Activities

Luxury cars and lifestyle activations were part of the on-site experience, with brands including Lotus Cars QLD, Brisbane Peugeot, and Deepal noting high-quality engagement. The Lagoon Beach Club hosted brand activations by Gold Bullion Australia, Moët Hennessy Australia, General Motors Specialty Vehicles, and Keogh’s.
