Singaporean Shipbuilder Strategic Marine Delivers Two New Crew Transfer Vessels to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs

Singaporean shipbuilder Strategic Marine has recently announced the delivery of two new Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA), further expanding its high-specification offshore wind support fleet. The newly delivered vessels, named StratCat 27, are sister ships to Acti’Vent and Esti’Vent, and are set to be deployed in the growing offshore wind sector in France and Europe.

These 27-meter aluminum catamarans, built at Strategic Marine’s shipyard in Singapore, are based on a proven design and can accommodate up to 24 technicians each. Gaël Cailleaux, Renewables Managing Director at LDA, expressed confidence in the vessels’ ability to support the offshore wind market, stating, “In line with our commitment to deliver operational excellence, we are confident that these two StratCat 27 will reliably support the growing offshore wind market in France and Europe.”

Chan Eng Yew, CEO of Strategic Marine, also shared his enthusiasm for the delivery of the state-of-the-art CTVs to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, emphasizing the companies’ shared commitment to innovation, quality, and performance in advancing offshore wind operations. He noted, “The deliveries mark another important milestone in our shared commitment to advancing offshore wind operations through innovation, quality, and performance. The StratCat 27 continues to prove its value across Europe and Asia, and we look forward to seeing these vessels in action.”

These deliveries mark the second pair of CTVs that Strategic Marine has delivered in the past two years, underscoring the company’s dedication to providing top-of-the-line vessels for the offshore wind industry. With the StratCat 27 vessels now in the hands of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, the offshore wind sector in France and Europe is poised to benefit from enhanced support capabilities and operational efficiency.
