Solstad

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has recently announced details of two new contracts with Petrobras, the Brazilian oil and gas giant.

The contracts involve two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, as well as the 2002-built construction support vessel (CSV) named Normand Flower, which were secured by Solstad Offshore in late April.

While specific details were not disclosed, it has been revealed that the AHTS contracts will utilize vessels from the Solstad Maritime fleet, with one of them offering ROV services.

For this venture, Solstad Offshore will deploy the 2014-built vessels Normand Sigma and Normand Sirius, with operations set to commence in the first quarter of 2026.

These contracts are structured to span a period of four years each, with a combined gross value estimated at around $210 million.

Under the agreement, the vessels will be on bareboat contracts from Solstad Maritime to Solstad Offshore, the entity directly engaged with Petrobras. It is worth noting that Solstad Offshore holds a 27.3% stake in Solstad Maritime.
