Anura Partners with Warrior Boats to Introduce Amphibious Boat in the UK

Anura, the New Zealand-based engineering company specializing in amphibious systems for marine vessels, has joined forces with Warrior Boats to develop a new amphibious boat that will be manufactured in the UK.

The collaboration will see Anura’s S15 amphibious system integrated into upcoming builds at Warrior, marking Anura’s continued expansion into the UK and European markets. The design phase is currently underway, with the first Warrior Boats featuring Anura’s system set to debut in Q3 2025.

Established in 2012, Anura recognizes the growing demand for amphibious technology in the UK, which has predominantly been limited to RIBs thus far. By introducing an amphibious model to its lineup, Warrior aims to meet this increasing market need and position itself as a leader in the industry.

The partnership between Anura and Warrior was solidified during a meeting at Metstrade 2024 in Amsterdam, where the Warrior team had the opportunity to closely inspect Anura’s S25 demonstration system. The collaboration was driven by a specific customer requirement, as Phil Byrom, Director of Warrior Boats, explains: “Without a solution, he’d be forced to give up fishing altogether.”

“That meeting at [Metstrade] gave us complete confidence,” Byrom adds. “We looked at other systems, but Anura came across as the most professional. We did our research on the boatbuilders using Anura in New Zealand — and they’ve got an impressive portfolio. We just felt more at ease going down this route.”

Warrior anticipates that the benefits of the Anura amphibious system will be immediately apparent to customers, particularly those launching from beaches or areas with restricted access. In the UK, where many launch points are vehicle-restricted, this capability is a natural fit.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Warrior,” says Rory McClennan, Anura European sales manager. “They’re experienced, forward-thinking, and their commitment to innovation aligns perfectly with our vision.”

With 30 years of operation under its belt and over 3,500 craft produced, Warrior Boats brings a wealth of experience to the partnership with Anura.
