Solstad Offshore Secures Four-Year Contract with Petrobras for Normand Turquesa AHTS Vessel
Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has recently announced a significant contract with Petrobras for its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel, Normand Turquesa. The four-year contract, which has received board approval, is set to commence in February 2026.
This contract extension comes as a welcome development for Solstad Offshore, as the current contract for Normand Turquesa has also been extended by nine months, ensuring the vessel’s continued operations until the start of the new contract. The total value of the new contract amounts to $84 million, securing the vessel’s commitment until February 2030.
Normand Turquesa, a UT 722 L design AHTS vessel built in 2007, boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 80.4 meters and a breadth of 18 meters. Its capabilities and reliability have made it a valuable asset in the offshore industry, particularly for operations involving anchor handling and tug support.
