Saronic & Vigor Collaborate to Advance Autonomous Maritime Solutions

Saronic Technologies and Vigor Marine Group have joined forces in a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the delivery of autonomous maritime capabilities and enhancing operational support for defense and commercial clients. This collaboration brings together two renowned maritime innovators with complementary strengths, poised to address the evolving demands of the industry.

Vigor Marine Group, a leading prime contractor in maintenance and modernization services in the U.S., boasts extensive experience in complex aluminum and small vessel fabrication, ship repair, and sustainment. With a strong presence on both the West and East coasts, Vigor supports defense and commercial operations alike. On the other hand, Saronic is a rapidly growing defense technology company known for its expertise in maritime autonomy, platform design, and development, enabling the swift production and deployment of Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs).

Through this partnership, Vigor and Saronic aim to collaborate closely to identify opportunities that align with the strategic objectives of key U.S. government and commercial maritime clients. Together, they are dedicated to fostering innovation and expanding the industrial and operational support necessary for scalable autonomy.

Driving Innovation and Operational Excellence

According to Dino Mavrookas, Co-Founder and CEO of Saronic, “This partnership brings together two leaders in the maritime industry to collaboratively create a full lifecycle solution that can ensure our maritime customers are mission-ready today and into the future. Combining Saronic’s technical leadership in autonomous maritime systems and scaled production with Vigor’s strategically located infrastructure and experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and lifecycle sustainment creates new opportunities to accelerate capability delivery.”

With this collaboration, we are aligning our core strengths to advance autonomous maritime capabilities that meet the urgent and evolving needs of our defense and commercial customers.”

This joint effort reflects a shared commitment to advancing U.S. maritime systems and shipbuilding in a manner that is operationally effective, economically sustainable, and in line with national security priorities. By leveraging the expertise and experience of both Vigor and Saronic, the partnership aims to shape the future of maritime capability delivery and industrial base readiness across the entire mission lifecycle.

Mark Norris, Vice President of Vigor Marine Fabrication, highlighted the significance of combining autonomy technologies with expertise in marine vessel fabrication, subsystem integration, and MRO support to better support the warfighter.

Conclusion

As the maritime industry continues to evolve, partnerships like the one between Saronic Technologies and Vigor Marine Group play a crucial role in driving innovation, enhancing operational capabilities, and meeting the dynamic needs of defense and commercial clients.
