Solstad Offshore Secures Contract with Petrobras for Normand Pioneer Vessel
Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has recently announced a significant contract win with Petrobras, the Brazilian state-owned oil and gas company. The contract is for the utilization of Solstad’s construction support vessel, Normand Pioneer.
The 1999-built Normand Pioneer will be equipped with an Ampelmann heave-compensated E-type gangway system for the project, which is scheduled to commence in October 2025.
Under the terms of the agreement, the contract duration is set at 180 days firm, with a total gross value of approximately $17 million, inclusive of mobilization costs.
It is worth noting that the vessel is owned by Solstad Maritime and will be operated under a bareboat charter to Solstad Offshore, the entity responsible for the contractual relationship with Petrobras. Solstad Offshore currently holds a 27.3% stake in Solstad Maritime.
