French offshore vessel player Bourbon Signs Five-Year Contract with Eni for New Crewboat Fleet

French offshore vessel company Bourbon has recently secured a five-year contract with Eni for the renewal of its crewboat fleet. The contract includes the construction of six new vessels to support Eni’s offshore operations.

The agreement involves the charter of six new S200X-G2 units, which are set to be delivered gradually between June and December 2026. These vessels will be deployed on Eni’s offshore fields to assist their two FNLG units.

Until the new vessels are ready for operation, six front-runners will be temporarily mobilized to ensure seamless continuity of operations from the contract’s commencement. The new fleet is based on the Surfers 200x-G design, which was introduced in 2024 but offers significant fuel savings during transit, estimated at 20% compared to the previous generation.

These 20-meter vessels have a capacity to accommodate 30 passengers and feature 25 square meters of foredeck space for transporting small parcels efficiently.

“With this new fleet, we are reinforcing our commitment to offshore mobility that is more sustainable, efficient, and fully aligned with the expectations of our major customers,” said François Leslé, CEO of Bourbon Mobility.
