Norwind Offshore Secures Charter Agreement for New CSOV
Norwind Offshore has recently announced a charter agreement with Wind Multiplikator, the German subsidiary of Semco Maritime, for a state-of-the-art commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) named Norwind Maestro.
The purpose of the vessel will be to support operations at the 400 MW Global Tech I offshore wind farm located in the German sector of the North Sea. The CSOV is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026, with a second identical vessel set to be available from the fourth quarter of 2025 to provide additional assistance as required.
Both vessels will be stationed at Emden, a strategic hub for offshore wind logistics in northern Germany, ensuring efficient operations and support for the wind farm.
Wind Multiplikator, which was acquired by Semco in 2023, specializes in operating and managing offshore wind assets. Global Tech I, the target wind farm, has been operational since 2015. While specific commercial and technical details of the charter agreement were not disclosed, it was previously mentioned that the contract with Global Tech I would have an initial term of 10 years, indicating a long-term commitment to supporting the wind farm’s operations.
