Introducing Teledyne Geophysical Instruments’ eXtreamer: Revolutionizing Marine Seismic Surveys

Teledyne Geophysical Instruments, a division of Teledyne Marine, has unveiled a groundbreaking innovation in the field of marine seismic surveys – the eXtreamer. This small form factor streamer, developed in partnership with Geometrics, is set to redefine high-resolution data collection in the industry.

Designed to meet both current and future Ultra High-Resolution (UHR) requirements, the eXtreamer offers unparalleled flexibility and adaptability. Its compact size allows for deployment in a variety of configurations, from large-scale setups to compact winch systems, ultimately leading to increased survey efficiency and reduced downtime.

Holli Sims, Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne Geophysical Instruments, expressed enthusiasm for the eXtreamer, stating, “This product exemplifies cutting-edge engineering that delivers tangible value and return on investment. Its focus on data clarity, precision, and operational flexibility addresses key needs within the industry.”

Furthermore, Bart Hoekstra, President of Geometrics, highlighted the eXtreamer’s durability and ultra-high resolution capabilities. “Our clients can now streamline their survey processes by capturing High-Resolution (HR) and Ultra High-Resolution (UHR), and even Ultra-Ultra High-Resolution (UUHR) data simultaneously with exceptional fidelity,” Hoekstra explained.

With the launch of the eXtreamer, Teledyne Geophysical Instruments and Geometrics are paving the way for a new era of marine seismic surveys. The industry can look forward to enhanced data quality, improved operational efficiency, and increased survey capabilities thanks to this innovative solution.
