Salvaging the Sea Lady II Superyacht
Hebo Maritiemservice, a Dutch maritime services provider, has successfully lifted the Sea Lady II superyacht from the waters of St Tropez after it sank in July 2025 due to a fierce blaze. Specializing in salvage and heavy lifting operations, Hebo Maritiemservice deployed its fleet of vessels to handle the challenging task of bringing the luxury yacht to the surface.
The salvage operations commenced on 5 August when Hebo Maritiemservice arrived with its crane and yacht lift set. The team used a large spreader beam to minimize further damage to the hull during the recovery process.
Fire Engulfs the Sea Lady II
On the day of the fire, witnesses reported that the yacht’s forward hull caught fire, which then spread to the lower decks, leading to a massive blaze. Despite the intense fire, two crew members were rescued, although they suffered from smoke inhalation.

Recovery Efforts and Future Plans
With 30 firefighters on site to combat the blaze and the deployment of an anti-pollution barrier around the yacht, the salvage operation faced numerous challenges. However, Hebo Maritiemservice remains optimistic about the recovery process, aiming for the Sea Lady II to float under her own buoyancy. Nonetheless, the fate of the superyacht points towards eventual scrapping.

The extensive salvage operation of the Sea Lady II serves as a testament to Hebo Maritiemservice’s expertise in maritime services and its commitment to handling challenging projects with precision and efficiency.
