TGS Awarded Streamer Acquisition Contract in the East Mediterranean

Oslo-listed seismic data specialist TGS has been awarded a streamer acquisition contract in the East Mediterranean. The acquisition is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of the year and is expected to last approximately 30 days.

Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS, stated that the company would utilize its Ramform acquisition platform, as well as its proprietary GeoStreamer technology, during the acquisition. This marks TGS’s return to the East Mediterranean after winning a 4D streamer contract in May.

In recent company news, TGS revealed that it had already signed contracts for the sale of two of its oldest vessels, the 1995-built Ramform Explorer and the 1998-built Ramform Valiant.
