Brazilian Offshore Vessel Owner OceanPact Secures $582m in Petrobras Contracts
Brazilian offshore vessel owner and services provider OceanPact has recently inked four new contracts with Petrobras, amounting to approximately $582 million (BRL 3.2 billion).
The contracts involve the chartering of the Parcel do Bandolim, Parcel das Timbebas, Parcel das Paredes, and Parcel dos Reis ROV support vessels (RSVs) for a duration of four years.
These vessels will be utilized in operations with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for tasks such as inspecting subsea structures, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as installing and removing subsea equipment at Petrobras’ offshore facilities.
OceanPact will be overseeing the complete operation of both the vessels and the ROVs as part of the agreement.
In addition to these recent contracts, OceanPact had previously announced a $126.7 million deal with Petrobras in December 2024 for the chartering of the Ilha do Mosqueiro offshore terminal support vessel for a four-year term.
