KENC Engineering Awarded Contract for Engineering Work on Jack-Up Vessel for U.K. Offshore Wind Farm

KENC Engineering has recently announced that it has secured multiple contract awards from a reputable transport and installation (T&I) contractor. The contracts are for the provision of engineering services for a jack-up vessel that is set to undertake operations at an offshore wind farm in the U.K.

The scope of KENC’s work on this project includes the design and engineering of various components for the jack-up vessel. These components include a hose reel platform to house the hydraulic power unit (HPU), a hose saddle, a control cabin work frame, and a gangway platform. The challenge for KENC’s team was to develop custom-made solutions that are lightweight, stable, and robust to meet the deck requirements of the jack-up vessel.

Engineering work on the project is already well underway, with a completion date scheduled for 2025. The expertise and dedication of KENC’s engineers will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of the purpose-built jack-up vessel at the U.K. offshore wind farm.

Eric Buining, the Managing Director of KENC Engineering, expressed his pride in the collaboration with the T&I contractor on this project. He highlighted the opportunity for KENC to leverage its experience in vessel outfitting and mobilization support for offshore wind installation projects.

With a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions for the offshore energy sector, KENC Engineering is well-positioned to make a significant contribution to the success of this project. The company’s commitment to innovation, safety, and excellence ensures that it remains a trusted partner for clients in the offshore industry.
