Subsea 7 Secures Contract for Fram Sør Development Project

Oslo-listed Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract by energy major Equinor for a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for the Fram Sør development project, located offshore Norway.

The purpose of the study is to finalize the technical definition of the proposed subsea development before Equinor and its partners proceed with the final investment decision, as disclosed in a recent company filing.

This contract also includes options for the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation scope, with the total value ranging between $150 million and $300 million. The offshore installation campaign is scheduled to take place in 2026, 2027, and 2028.

The Fram Sør area is situated 10-30 km north of the Equinor-operated Troll C platform and will be connected to the existing Fram and Troll C infrastructure to facilitate development.
