Mainport Shipping Secures Funding for Construction of Geo Master Vessel

Mainport Shipping has successfully secured funding from the Eurazeo Sustainable Maritime Infrastructure (ESMI) Fund for the construction of its state-of-the-art vessel, the Geo Master. This hybrid survey and ROV support vessel is set to revolutionize the subsea services industry.

Constructed at the Neptune Construction yard in the Netherlands, the Geo Master is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026. It is expected to be fully operational by mid-March of the same year, showcasing cutting-edge technology and innovation.

Long-Term Charter Agreement with N-Sea

Dutch subsea services specialist and vessel operator, N-Sea, has inked a long-term charter agreement with Mainport Shipping for the Geo Master vessel. Under this agreement, N-Sea will have full commercial management and control of the vessel, bolstering its fleet to a total of 13 Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs).

The collaboration between Mainport Shipping and N-Sea signifies a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service capabilities in the offshore industry.

ESMI Investment and Focus

With this transaction, ESMI has now allocated more than 70% of its first fund towards sustainable maritime infrastructure projects. The fund focuses on investing in highly fuel-efficient bulkers, container vessels, and vessels that support the offshore wind sector, aligning with the industry’s shift towards sustainability and environmental consciousness.
