ST Engineering to Build Specialized Walk-to-Work Vessel for Oil and Gas Company
ST Engineering has recently secured a shipbuilding contract for the design and construction of a Walk-to-Work (W2W) vessel for a prominent oil and gas company. This contract marks ST Engineering’s foray into the market for specialized vessels that support offshore operations.
The W2W vessel, which will span 97 meters in length and have the capacity to accommodate 106 individuals, is set to feature state-of-the-art technology. It will be equipped with an advanced motion-compensated gangway to facilitate safe personnel transfers even in challenging sea conditions. Additionally, the vessel will boast a 10-ton crane with active heave compensation, enhancing load handling efficiency in rough seas.
Anticipated to be completed by the first half of 2027, this project underscores ST Engineering’s commitment to delivering high-quality vessels that adhere to global standards.
