Norwegian Offshore Vessel Owner DOF Terminates Contract for Construction Support Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has terminated a contract for one of its construction support vessels, the 2018-built Skandi Implementer.

The termination of the contract was announced in a filing to Oslo Bors by DOF. The vessel was operating in Mexico at the time of contract termination, which was due to payment default. The client’s name was not disclosed.

Prior to this contract termination, the vessel had been working with Blue Marine Group and supporting Pemex’s operations in Mexico as part of Maersk Supply Service’s fleet under the name Maersk Implementer. DOF acquired Maersk Supply Service last year in a deal worth $1.1 billion.

DOF’s recent fleet status indicated that the Skandi Implementer was scheduled to work in Mexico until the end of April 2026.

Following the contract termination, DOF plans to equip the vessel with two of its remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and explore opportunities in the global subsea market.
