CEO of Dolphin Drilling Resigns

The chief executive officer of semisub rig owner Dolphin Drilling, Bjørnar Iversen, has submitted his resignation from the company with immediate effect. Iversen had been serving as the CEO since July 2019.

Prior to his role at Dolphin Drilling, Iversen held the position of CEO at Songa Offshore and had various senior management roles at Odfjell Drilling.

Appointment of Interim CEO

Following Iversen’s resignation, Jon Oliver Bryce has been appointed as the interim CEO of Dolphin Drilling. Bryce, who currently serves as the chief strategy officer, brings over 30 years of experience in the drilling industry. Before joining Dolphin Drilling, he held senior and leadership positions at Awilco Drilling and Odfjell Drilling.

Bryce, who holds a degree in mechanical engineering, is actively involved in the industry as a member of the supervisory board of the UK Chamber of Shipping and as the chair of the British Rig Owners Association.

Words from the Chairman

Chairman of Dolphin Drilling’s board of directors, Martin Nes, expressed gratitude towards Bjørnar Iversen for his contributions to the company over the past six years. Nes wished Iversen success in his future endeavors.
