Halliburton Secures Major Contract with Petrobras for Offshore Drilling in Brazil

Houston-headquartered energy service giant Halliburton has been awarded a significant contract by Petrobras to provide integrated drilling services across multiple offshore fields in Brazil.

The contract, spanning three years, will involve the development and exploration of wells in both pre-salt and post-salt areas, marking a substantial expansion of Halliburton’s presence in these regions.

Waldomiro Mendes, vice president of Halliburton’s Brazil unit, expressed confidence in the company’s capabilities, stating, “This contract showcases Halliburton’s expertise in deep and ultra-deep offshore drilling and well construction.”

The agreement, slated to commence this year, represents Halliburton’s largest service contract with Petrobras to date. Specific financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
