InterManager Elects Sebastian von Hardenberg as President

[By: InterManager]

InterManager, the international association for the ship management sector, has elected Sebastian von Hardenberg as President. Sebastian, who currently serves as the CEO of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), was chosen by members of InterManager’s Executive Committee during the association’s Annual General Meeting in London this week.

With a background in law, Sebastian von Hardenberg joined the Schulte Group in 2005 and has held various leadership positions within the organization. He previously served as CFO of BSM before assuming the role of CEO earlier this year.

An experienced negotiator, Sebastian has represented InterManager members and the ship management sector in discussions with the European Union on key issues such as EU-ETS and FuelEU. His election as President signals a commitment to strengthening global partnerships and driving innovative solutions to industry challenges.

Upon his election, Sebastian von Hardenberg expressed his gratitude and stated, “I am honored to have been elected as President of InterManager and pledge to work collaboratively with our members and industry stakeholders to enhance standards and drive progress in the ship management sector. Together, we can shape a more sustainable and efficient future.”

Sebastian succeeds Mark O’Neil, CEO of Columbia Group, who served as President for the past four years and played a key role in developing InterManager’s General Principles of Conduct and Action. Sebastian acknowledged Mark’s contributions and affirmed his commitment to continuing the association’s efforts to elevate industry standards.

Additionally, Raal Harris, Chief Creative Officer of Ocean Technologies Group and One Ocean, was elected as Vice President during the same meeting. Raal, a longstanding member of InterManager, has been an active participant in the Executive Committee for over a decade.
