Cadeler Secures Contracts for New Wind Turbine Installation Vessel

Danish offshore wind installation company, Cadeler, has recently announced the signing of two significant contracts with undisclosed clients for the utilization of its latest wind turbine installation vessel, Wind Mover. This state-of-the-art vessel is currently under construction at Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in Korea and is set to play a crucial role in supporting operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, as well as potential installation work, in Europe.

The contracts, which are part of a comprehensive agreement, will encompass the entire period from the arrival of Wind Mover in Europe following its delivery from the shipyard, up to its next scheduled installation project. The total estimated value of these contracts amounts to an impressive $77.9 million, contingent on the final delivery and redelivery date of the vessel, as well as the scope of work involved, which may include both O&M and installation services.

Wind Mover represents the second vessel in Cadeler’s newbuild portfolio of M-class wind installation vessels, specifically designed and equipped to handle the next-generation offshore wind turbines currently being deployed worldwide. Scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2025, Wind Mover follows its sister vessel, Wind Maker, which was successfully delivered to Cadeler in January 2025.

With cutting-edge technology and a strong commitment to excellence, Cadeler continues to solidify its position as a leading player in the offshore wind industry, providing essential services and solutions for the sustainable energy sector.
