Forum Energy Technologies Launches Cutting-Edge Work Class ROV

Forum Energy Technologies (FET) has introduced its latest innovation in subsea technology with the launch of the XLX EVO III, a state-of-the-art work class Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) designed to revolutionize underwater operations.

Equipped with larger thrusters for enhanced performance underwater and an improved buoyancy package, the XLX EVO III sets a new standard with a market-leading 500 kg payload capacity. This allows for a broad spectrum of tasks to be carried out efficiently and effectively in subsea environments.

The new vehicle features a redesigned frame that is CNC machined, providing improved maintenance access and tooling capability. The through-frame-lift capacity has been increased to 4000 kg, a significant rise of over 30% from its predecessor, the EVO II.

In addition, the XLX EVO III is equipped with updated pilot chairs or console and Forum Energy Technologies’ latest control software, ICE Unity, enabling seamless remote operations. This cutting-edge technology ensures operators can navigate the ROV with precision and confidence, enhancing overall performance.

Kevin Taylor, Vice President Operations – Subsea at FET, expressed excitement about the potential impact of the XLX EVO III on the industry, stating, “As FET’s Work Class ROVs are known for their ruggedness and reliability, the XLX EVO III takes it a step further with advanced technology that will deliver optimized performance for our customers.”

With a focus on durability, efficiency, and advanced technology, the XLX EVO III is set to redefine the capabilities of work class ROVs and drive innovation in subsea operations for years to come.
