American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) recently granted Hanwha Ocean an Approval in Principle (AIP) for its innovative Pre-FEED standard FPSO design tailored for the challenging deep waters of West Africa. Designed to house topsides for both crude oil and gas production facilities, the hull is engineered to operate efficiently for up to 20 years without requiring dry docking. This longevity ensures optimal performance and cost-effectiveness over the unit’s lifecycle.
