Akastor’s DDW Offshore Cancels Sale of Skandi Peregrino AHTS Vessel

Akastor’s fully-owned subsidiary DDW Offshore has announced the cancellation of the sale of the Skandi Peregrino anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel. The decision comes after the charterer’s refusal to consent to the sale, despite the initial agreement reached in early March 2025.

The sale of the Skandi Peregrino AHTS was initially set at $25 million to an undisclosed buyer, with the completion of the transaction expected in the second quarter of 2025. However, due to the charterer’s reluctance to novate the relevant contract on the vessel, the sale agreement was officially terminated on May 16, 2025.

The Skandi Peregrino is a robust AHTS vessel of STX AH08 design, renowned for its high-powered capabilities suitable for a wide range of operations in varying water depths and environmental conditions.

Despite the cancellation of the sale, Akastor remains committed to exploring new opportunities and avenues for the Skandi Peregrino, ensuring its continued operational efficiency and value within the offshore industry.
