Norway’s Aker Solutions Partners with Vår Energi for Maintenance and Modification Services

Norway’s Aker Solutions has recently announced a strategic partnership agreement with Vår Energi to provide maintenance and modification services for assets located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The partnership, which also includes Honeywell and StS-ISONOR, has secured a five-year contract with the possibility of extension up to 11 years.

Vår Energi, with operations across the entire Norwegian continental shelf and a diverse portfolio of 200 licenses and 42 producing fields, will benefit from this collaboration.

Under a frame agreement signed in December 2024, Aker Solutions will be responsible for delivering maintenance and modification services for Vår Energi’s Jotun, Balder, and Ringhorne assets in the southern Norwegian Continental Shelf, as part of this broader partnership agreement.

Commenting on the partnership, Torger Rød, COO of Vår Energi, stated, “Aker Solutions, Honeywell, and StS-ISONOR bring world-leading technical expertise and extensive experience in areas crucial to our operations. With plans to increase production to around 400,000 barrels per day by the end of the year, we are poised to become one of the fastest-growing oil and gas companies globally.”
