Approved Boats has recently made a significant move by relocating its operations to Shamrock Quay in Southampton. This strategic shift within the MDL Marinas network, from Hamble Point, provides the company with improved visibility and a dedicated outdoor display area for showcasing their impressive lineup of boats.

The new 600 sq ft office of Approved Boats is conveniently located next to the iconic Yellow Welly at Shamrock Quay and is now fully operational. The renowned brokerage features models from top brands such as Fairline, Absolute, and Aquila, offering a VIP experience for Fairline customers.

Barry Radband, manager at the marina, expressed his excitement about Approved Boats joining the Shamrock Quay community. He mentioned, “Their presence adds another dimension to the growing marina businesses here and complements the recent arrivals of other marine-related companies.”

David O’Rourke, Managing Director at Approved Boats, emphasized the importance of staying within the MDL family for the company’s growth. He stated, “This new location provides the perfect setting to expand our presence, better serve our customers with on-site displays, and engage more directly with the boating community.”

In addition to Shamrock Quay, Approved Boats also operates from MDL’s Ocean Village Marina and is a regular exhibitor at the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show. O’Rourke mentioned that the recent boat show was successful, with the company securing several sales.

Regarding the current market outlook, O’Rourke shared, “The market feels stable at this point in the year. Enquiries are consistent, and trade between the UK and Europe remains strong. We are closely monitoring global supply chains to adapt to any shifts that may occur.”
