Introducing Aquajet’s New Hydrodemolition Robots: Aqua Cutter 450A and Aqua Cutter 450V
Hydrodemolition company Aquajet is set to revolutionize the industry with the launch of two innovative robots in April: the Aqua Cutter 450A and Aqua Cutter 450V. These new electric models are part of the compact 450 series, offering enhanced maneuverability and performance compared to their predecessors.
The Aqua Cutter 450A and 450V are equipped with the Evolution 3.0 control system and the patented Infinity oscillation system, ensuring precision and efficiency in hydrodemolition projects. Despite their smaller size, these robots can handle reaction forces up to 1400N, making them ideal for confined spaces without compromising on power.
One of the key features of Aquajet’s robots is their ability to clean and descale rebar without causing microfractures, thus preserving structural integrity. The Aqua Cutter 450A and 450V offer exceptional reach in horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications, making them versatile tools for a wide range of projects.
Aquajet will showcase the new 450 series, along with other cutting-edge Hydrodemolition solutions, at Stand A1.325 during bauma 2025 from April 7 to 13. Roger Simonsson, Managing Director of Aquajet, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “Our customers asked for a smaller alternative without compromising on efficiency — so we delivered. The 450 series is perfect for projects where size and agility are crucial, but performance remains a top priority.”
Both the Aqua Cutter 450A and 450V are electric powered, making them environmentally friendly options for urban projects requiring zero emissions. Their detachable Power Control Module (PCM) allows for separate operation of the PCM and the robot’s tracked crawler, enabling safe navigation in confined or hazardous spaces.
While both models share core innovations, they are optimized for specific applications:
Aqua Cutter 450A
This model features a hydraulic, articulated arm with two rotating joints and three telescopic extensions, providing a reach of up to 3 meters (9.8 ft). Its agility makes it perfect for confined spaces like small tunnels and narrow passageways, as well as operations from scaffoldings or ledges.
Aqua Cutter 450V
Combining the compact size of the 450A with the versatility of the 750V, the 450V features a tower system that extends its reach up to 4 meters (13.1 ft). This model is ideal for vertical shafts and applications where reach and maneuverability are essential.
The 450 series is fully compatible with Aquajet’s Aqua Rail system, various attachments, and high-pressure pumps, including the Ecosilence. Additionally, these robots seamlessly integrate with the EcoClear wastewater treatment system, ensuring environmentally responsible operations through on-site water treatment and recirculation.
With the launch of the Aqua Cutter 450A and 450V, Aquajet continues to push the boundaries of hydrodemolition technology, offering efficient and sustainable solutions for the industry’s evolving needs.
