ASCO Secures £70m Contract with Aker BP in Norway

Aberdeen-based energy logistics group, ASCO, has recently announced a significant contract win with Aker BP in Norway. The contract spans across multiple locations including Tananger, Sandnessjøen, and Farsund, covering a range of base and logistics services.

Under the terms of the agreement, ASCO will provide warehouse management, load carriers, waste services, and personnel leasing for logistics and helicopter coordination. The contract has the potential to reach a total value of £70m ($88) over the period until 2030.

Øyvind Salte, the commercial director at ASCO Norge, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This contract strengthens our existing activities in Norway and lays the foundation for further developing the excellent collaboration with Aker BP. We will also continue to simplify, streamline, and digitalise all aspects of its services.”

On the other hand, Vegard Olsen, Logistics Manager at Aker BP, emphasized the importance of the partnership with ASCO in maintaining the continuity of offshore operations. He stated, “Base and transport services act as the lifelines for materials between sea and land, ensuring that we can maintain stable and efficient operations.”

This new contract win underscores ASCO’s commitment to providing comprehensive and reliable logistics services to its clients in the energy sector. With a focus on simplification, streamlining, and digitalization, ASCO is poised to deliver efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of Aker BP and other partners in the region.
