Azimut Yachts has recently unveiled its newly renovated headquarters in Avigliana, located in the picturesque region of Piedmont in northern Italy. This redevelopment project, part of a €50m investment in the production site, encompasses a revamped main building, a state-of-the-art multifunctional pavilion, and updated employee offices.
The grand inauguration ceremony took place on 24 July 2025 and was graced by the presence of key figures such as Giovanna Vitelli, chair of the Azimut-Benetti Group, Marco Valle, the chief executive officer, Andrea Archinà, the mayor of Avigliana, and approximately 1,500 employees. The project was brought to life through the artistic direction of AMDL Circle and Michele De Lucchi, with Settanta7 providing architectural input on the office redesign. Additionally, a major focus of the redevelopment was on enhancing energy efficiency within the premises.
Azimut describes the redevelopment as a reflection of the company’s evolving work model, emphasizing collaboration over hierarchy and aligning cultural transformation with the generational shift within the organization.
“I had the image of the Louvre pyramid in mind. A statement of changing times, but above all a sign of how the new finds its full power in its relationship with the grandeur of the past. Azimut has a history spanning more than fifty years, and the best way to honor it is to continue evolving, as my father always did,” explains Giovanna Vitelli.
The new pavilion seamlessly integrates elements of the original building design from the 1990s by Gabetti & Isola while introducing contemporary architectural features like floor-to-ceiling windows and a captivating water feature showcasing models of Azimut yachts. Among these models are designs that revolutionized the industry with innovations such as hull glazing, a groundbreaking technology introduced in 2003. AMDL Circle, known for its collaboration with Azimut on various design projects, also curated the building’s heritage walk and entrance pavilion.

The design concept incorporates three panoramic meeting rooms named Gogamigoga, Goga, and Goghina, paying tribute to Paolo Vitelli’s former vessels. These rooms offer breathtaking views of the Sacra di San Michele and embrace transparency as a recurring visual and architectural motif.
Emphasizing transparency further, the internal layout features open-plan shared spaces in lieu of traditional executive offices and glass partitions instead of solid walls. A cutting-edge Virtual Reality room has been installed to facilitate seamless collaboration between the Technical and Style Offices and to provide yacht owners with an immersive customization experience.

The headquarters is set to reopen its doors to staff members in September 2025, coinciding with the commencement of the new nautical year.
