Norwegian Vessel Secures Employment in UK Waters

Norwegian shipping investor Blystad Group has announced that its platform supply vessel, the Songa Commander, has secured employment for up to six months in UK waters.

The Songa Commander, a 2010-built vessel commercially and technically managed by Remøy Shipping, has been chartered by Shell for three months at an undisclosed dayrate.

According to offshore brokers, the contract is set to commence in April and includes extension options for up to three additional months.

Blystad Group acquired the Songa Commander from Havila Shipping, a Fosnavåg-based OSV owner, in 2023.
