MMA Offshore Secures Multi-Year Contract with Chevron Australia

MMA Offshore, a subsidiary of Cyan Renewables, has announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Chevron Australia for its platform supply vessel (PSV) MMA Plover. The vessel will be providing marine logistics support to Chevron’s Barrow Island and Wheatstone assets, situated off the coast of Western Australia.

Chevron’s Barrow Island and Wheatstone assets are vital contributors to the production of natural gas for Western Australia and liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the Asia Pacific region. Notably, these assets are home to one of the world’s largest Carbon Capture and Storage systems.

As part of the contract, MMA Plover will undergo significant modifications to enhance its capabilities, including the ability to carry up to 90 TEU (20 ft-equivalent unit sea containers).

Keng Lin Lee, CEO of Cyan Renewables Group, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This contract underscores MMA’s ability to provide a comprehensive, high-value solution that extends beyond vessel provision. We are committed to delivering superior services to Chevron Australia and supporting their world-class gas projects that play a crucial role in ensuring energy security for Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.”

The long-term contract with Chevron Australia signifies MMA Offshore’s dedication to excellence in marine logistics and underscores its reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
